This site will only allow canon techniques to people who will legitimately make them themselves.

Swordsmanship techniques are techniques that are only usable with some kind of sword. Without swordsmanship, you cannot user these kind of techniques. They are divided into tiers which require a certain number of technique points.

Tier 1 (1-10 In Swordsmanship)

These are techniques that you could probably do anyways and are little more than a normal attack. This would include hitting the enemy with the hilt of a sword, or swinging with slightly more force than normal. These will generally cost 1 technique point, and only require that you are able to hold a sword. Note though that these can be very useful in your higher ranks of swordsmanship.

Tier 2 (11-50 In Swordmanship)

These techniques are a bit more interesting. They are still pretty basic, but are more powerful than just waving around a sword. These require that you are able to wield a sword and fight effectively. As an example, the technique could me a speedy charge at the enemy which cuts them quickly as you pass them, or a special stat-boosting stance. These will generally cost 2 technique points.

Tier 3 (51-100 In Swordsmanship)

These techniques are about the point where your attacks aren't unrealistic, but can now have added effects, like knocking someone down, or launching them away. These require a person to have a good level of skill with the sword more efficient than someone who can just fight with one. A good example would be something like jumping over the enemy and hilt bunting them the the back of the head with enough force to knock them the hell on their face with a clean hit. These will generally cost 3 technique points.

Tier 4 (101-150 In Swordsmanship)

These techniques are the starting point of being able to do unusual things that are considered, abstract, as a person could not logically do it themselves in real life, used without Devil Fruit Powers. This requires a great deal of skill in swordsmanship. To the point where a teacher would logically be able to do this a few times. A good example would be slashing the blade to cause a wave of air to cut the opponent. These will generally cost four technique points.

Tier 5 (151-200 In Swordsmanship)

These techniques are more advanced supernatural abilities used without Devil Fruit Powers. While it requires near-mastery over Swordsmanship. These are very semi-illogical techniques. An example would be dragging your sword along the ground to heat it up to a red-hot temperature, and then slash, unleashing a wave of superheated air at the enemy, slicing deep and instantly cauterizing them so they cannot heal very easily. These will generally cost five to 10 technique points.

Tier 6 (201+ in Swordsmanship)

These techniques are the most advanced kind of swordsmanship. These allow one to move at sonic speed for moments, and do illogical attacks that actually work. These require severely high mastery of the blade. A good example would be, you spin your blade rapidly, causing a severely high-powered vacuum force to drag the enemy in towards the blade. It can slice them to bits if they aren't careful. These techniques are considered the most lethal variety. They will generally cost 11-25 technique points to have.
